This article will explore three effective methods for utilizing PQD while traveling for a bowl game or working offsite for an extended period. These methods are designed to ensure that coaches and staff can maintain productivity.
By understanding the benefits and limitations of each option, you can choose the best approach that suits your needs and ensures seamless operations while away from the office. Whether you opt to travel with a server, use a VPN for remote access, or work locally on your computer, this guide will provide you with the necessary insights to navigate these options confidently.
Option #1 - Server
Travel with a Server. This will enable coaches to access the same folder file path that you are currently utilizing while the organization is away from the office.
If you decide not to bring the server, another viable option is to use a VPN (Virtual Private Network). A VPN allows you to connect securely to your organization's network or access the computers at your homesite.
Caution: Using a VPN will be slower. Upload and download speeds are not as fast.
Option #3 - Work Locally
Work locally on your computer by saving essential resources directly to the C: drive. This includes your template files, any relevant field backgrounds, and drawing libraries.
Note: Once back at you homesite coaches will need to take the newly created documents and put them back on server.
